摘要

The World Wide Web has become so omnipresent in our daily lives that many forget it is less than 20 years old. In that relatively short period of time, the Web has revolutionized the way information is disseminated. Over the last several years, however, the Web has begun to evolve into a platform that is more participatory and collaborative in nature. That evolution has been termed "Web 2.0." In Web 2.0 for Librarians and Information Professionals, Ellyssa Kroski attempts to answer three prominent questions: (1) What is Web 2.0? (2) Why is it important? and (3) How can it benefit the librarian?
