I was a young airborne radar instructor, stationed at the US Army Air Corps base at Boca Raton, FL, in 1943. To-wards the end of that year, I discovered, almost by accident, that there was a new and very secret course running at the other side of the base to train people in radio countermea-sures (RCM). On completion, the students all received flight status, and the idea of that attracted rne. I applied to join the course, was accepted, and in December 1943 began training.
