摘要

Instructional Design for LIS Professionals: A Guide for Teaching Librarians and Information Professionals is a thorough yet concise overview of how to teach, aimed primarily at new instructors within LIS. Backward design drives the volume’s organization, with chapters building on each other based on this approach. The reader will take away a lot of ideas and possible approaches to learner-centered instruction through pedagogy and instructional design (ID) principles. This title fills a gap in the literature, as most ID resources are geared more toward faculty—either generalized, or more specific to disciplines typically excluding LIS—or toward academic librarians most often teaching one-shots.
