摘要

Effect of coconut water on seed germination seedling growth and yield of black gram was studied. Direct soaking of seeds with 2.5,5 and 10 % coconut water increased the germination (88 %) and radical length (9.1 + 0.6 cm). Field experiment was also conducted to study the effect of foliar spray of coconut water for 15 days interval. It was observed that height of plant (shoot (22.4 + 1.1 cm), root (17.4 + 0.9 cm)) was increased gradually with increase in coconut water concentration. Coconut water treated plants showed highest number of leaf (23), internodes (6), intemodular length (2.2 cm) than control. Coconut water treated plants were bloomed earlier (38 days) than control (40 days). Increased concentration of coconut water treated plants showed higher production of seeds than control.
