This is a timely collection of essays regarding what we may have learned during the current financial crisis. Joseph Stiglitz is of course, the Nobel Laureate who has written extensively on the subject. His platform here is the Initiative for Policy Dialogue housed at Columbia University and his co-editors are contributors there as well. This is a difficult book to read. The topic is complex and doesn't lend itself to easy explanations. Thus, this is an academic tome, fit for those with strong curiosities who are willing to approach it with backgrounds in economics and finance. The list of acronyms alone spans three pages.
