Financial Instability and Economic Security After the Great Recession

The purpose of this book is to critically examine the Great Recession and policy within the framework of post-Keynesian institutionalism (PKI). The book also explores PKI as the fusing of aspects of original institutionalism and post-Keynesian thought. After an introductory chapter by the editor, which situates the main themes and summarizes the various chapters, there are three sections and a conclusion. Part A (chapters one through three) outlines the broad contours of PKI, part B (chapters four through six) examines the Great Recession and policy in the United States, and part C (chapters seven through nine) scrutinizes the Great Recession and policy in the global economy. A conclusion follows.
