Growth and spectroscopic properties of Sr_6NdSc(BO_3)_6 crystal

Sr_6NdSc(BO_3)_6 crystal with dimensions of φ 21 x 40 mm was grown by the Czochralski method. The spectral properties of Sr_6NdSc(BO_3)_6 crystal had been investigated. The absorption cross section is 1.46 x 10~(-20) cm~2 with an FWHM 18.0 nm at 808 nm. The emission cross sections is 2.18 x 10~(-19) cm~2 at 1062nm. The fluorescence lifetime is 48μs at room temperature.
