摘要

Phase transformations in InSb irradiated by excimer and ruby lasers are studied both theoretically and experimentally. Thermal equilibrium and non-equiliriumj one-component modesl are employed for the theoretical analysis of timeresolved refectivity measurements. For ruby lasr, a close similarity between he experimental and calcuated values of surface melt duration is observed. However, contraryt o this the theoreical prectiors for excimer laser differ substantially from experimental valoues. This fact is inerpreted in erms of the amorphisation and decompositon of the surface layer after irradiation, as shown by LEED/AES.
