摘要

The main challenge in the design of industrial crystalisers is to predict the infleuce of crystalliser geometry, scale, operating conditions and process actuaiors on the process behaviour and product quality. The quality characteristics, such as the crysal size distribution, includions content and morphology determine to a lare extent the product performance and are therefore of importane. The quality of the product crystals is basically determiend by he rates at which crystals are born and attrited, grown or disslove and agglomerate in the different regions of the crystallser. An analysis technique is therefroe introduced to describe the various crystallisaiton phenomena as a function of locla process condiions such as superaturation and energy dissipation.
