Utilizing solubilized water in the interior of sodium 1,2-bis(2-ethylhexyloxycarbonyl) ethane sulfonate reversed micelles, polyacrylamide particles were prepared by the polymerization of acrylamide initiated with potassium perox- odisulfate at 45℃. The size and its distribution of the particles obtained were found to be well correlated with the solubilized states of water and micelles: monodisperse and spherical particles were formed in both swollen micelle and W/O microemulsion regions, whereas in blue translucent region bimodal particles were obtained.
