Editor's Report

摘要

This issue wraps up my third year as Editor of JoBEM. I am pleased to report that the number of manuscripts submitted to the journal has increased and that we have been able to maintain our competitive acceptance rate. We recently published our third theme issue under my editorship, dedicated entirely to graduate students. The issue is guest edited by Special Issue Coordinating Editor-in-Chief Stacy Blasiola (University of Illinois at Chicago) and Special Issue Guest Editors R. Stuart Geiger (University of California, Berkeley) and Airi Lampinen (Helsinki Institute for Information Technology HIIT & University of Helsinki). The theme for this issue was: Old Against New, or a Coming of Age? Broadcasting in an Era of Electronic Media. All submissions were authored by graduate students. This was a first for us and a groundbreaking step for journals in general. We look forward to the conversations and research an issue dedicated to researchers and research that are coming of age will generate.
