APEX IN SAFETY PROGRAMME

The conference adopted ACI's recommendation 'that the ICAO Council supports the implementation of the APEX in Safety programme and asks the Secretary General to continue ICAO participation in safety reviews and sharing of relevant safety information, as provided for in the Memorandum of Cooperation between ACI and ICAO'.ACI's working paper emphasised that safety was ACI's top priority, that the APEX in Safety Programme was ACI's contribution to global efforts to improve aviation safety, and that ACI was pleased to have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with ICAO on enhancing safety (in June 2012), which provided the foundation for ICAO's support for, and participation in, the APEX in Safety programme.
