摘要

Pages and shelvers are essential to the running of a library. The books need to be returned to the shelf, and the books need to stay in order. Properly trained pages and staff allow the library to function more smoothly. Tunstall's book is a quick overview of how to supervise pages, from the initial job search, to training, to eventual termination. Most of the advice in the book is fairly basic and should be familiar to anyone who has worked in a circulation department before. Some helpful additional information: The book is geared toward public libraries and doesn't address libraries that use the LC system or that hire college students.
