Associate Degree Nursing Programs Continue Progress Through Quality, Safety, and Collaboration

Nursing education must transform to meet the evolving and increasingly complex demands of patient care and higher education delivery systems. All nurses must have access to highquality, efficient options for academic progression. Nowhere is this more important than in the many communities across the country that rely on community colleges to ensure patient access to high-quality, safe nursing care. The Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (OADN) supports the need for a broader repertoire of research that addresses quality and safety outcomes linked to nursings contribution to patient care. The report by Djukic and colleagues in this issue of the Journal also recognizes this need, but the studys title and conclusion do not align with the authors reported results in several respects.
