摘要

A nine-segment railway viaduct whose columns were destroyed by the Hyogoken Nanbu Earthquake of 1995 was restored by hoisting it by the erection girder method and repairing damaged columns. The girder erection method, which is generally used for bridge construction, was applied to the restoration work since it can be used when under-the-deck space is limited. The method requires heavy equipment, but it is flexible and highly reliable. This paper describes the restoration procedure, outlines of the equipment used, and reports the progress of the restoration work.
