摘要

Since complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor scaling is not considered to be forever, new values of semiconductor technologies need to be sought by exploring new applications and services, in addition to simply striving to solve solving scaling issues. This paper introduces a small-size and low-power open-innovation platform, namely the trillion-node engine, which facilitates various system developments for Internet-of-Things and/or cyber-physical systems applications, and thus eases this journey to search for the new values of nanotechnologies by bridging the valley between technologies and applications. A novel connection technology using anisotropic conduction rubber, a low-power module architecture, and a software aspect of the platform are described. (C) 2020 The Japan Society of Applied Physics
