Daimler and Rolls-Royce take over Tognum

Daimler and Rolls-Royce completed their joint takeover of German military propulsion specialist Tognum, acquiring 60 per cent of the company before the tender deadline, the companies announced on 6 June. Following the rejection of their initial acquisition bid of EUR24 per share, the two companies increased their offer by 8.3 per cent to EUR26 per share on 13 May, valuing Tognum at EUR3.4 billion (USD4.8 billion).
