BAE Systems Bofors, PT Lundin in gun support deal

BAE Systems Bofors of Sweden and Indonesian company FT Lundin have signed an industrial co-operation agreement that paves the way for PT Lundin to establish a service and support hub in Indonesia for Bofors naval guns. Signed during a ceremony at the Indodefence exhibition in Jakarta on 6 November, the accord also opens the way for PT Lundin to manufacture composite subsystems and components for Bofors guns, and potentially support sales of new systems into Indonesia. The Indonesian Navy currently has an inventory of 79 guns supplied by Bofors. These include the 57 mm Mk 1, the 57 mm Mk 2, and a number of 40 mm/L70 mountings.
