USC looks to develop shipyard in India

Russia's United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) has stated an intention to develop a naval shipyard in Visakhapatnam, on India's east coast. Following meetings in India between local and Russian defence companies USC CEO Alexei Rakhmanov told reporters on 13 September that Visakhapatnam met USC's requirements to expand its presence in India. However, he added, "There is a long way to go before the final decision is taken."
