France pjans to design semi-active laser-seeker

A temporary company grouping consisting of Nexter Munitions and TDA has been awarded a contract by the French defence procurement agency (DGA) to design and manufacture a Metric Precision Artillery Ammunition Demonstrator, Nexter Munitions announced on 18 February.rnThis upstream study programme is intended to procure low-cost guidance technology based on a semi-active laser (SAL) sensor that can be integrated in several types of ammunition - such as 120 mm mortar, tank artillery, and 155 mm artillery rounds, GMLRS rockets and 68 mm helicopter rockets.
