Reaper UAV retired to USAF museum

The National Museum of the US Air Force (USAF) in Dayton, Ohio, has opened an exhibit on the General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc (GA-ASI) MQ-9 Reaper missile-armed unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).rnThe centrepiece of the exhibit, which opened on 26 January, is YMQ-9 serial number 02-4002, one of the two pre-production examples sent to Afghanistan.rnAfter the terrorist attacks on the United States on 11 September 2001, Congress directed USAF officials to order two pre-production YMQ-9s for testing. The first flew on 17 October 2003.
