The Hong Kong Garrison of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) displayed several new items of military equipment at camp open days in mid-2014. With access to the secretive PLA difficult to obtain, the former British colony is one of the best places to view new materiel, especially since many items are often fielded first by Hong Kong's elite garrison before being introduced more widely into PLA service.
