IRobot enhances PackBot mobility

IRobot has worked to enhance the manoeuvrability of its 510 PackBot unmanned ground vehicle (UGV), enabling an extra set of flippers to be added. Speaking to IHS Jane's, Frank Wilson, iRobot's senior vice president and general manager for defence and security, said that a platform configured with an additional pair of flippers has been developed for a 510 PackBot under assessment by a potential customer.
