T-15 set to boost firepower of Russian mechanised infantry

Further details of Russia's T-15 heavy infantry fighting vehicle (HIFV) have emerged, following the platform's first public appearance in 2015. To date, 14 pre-production vehicles have been built and these are being put through extensive contractor and army trials. Like the T-14 Armata main battle tank (MBT), the T-l 5 is being developed by UralVagonZavod and to reduce through-life costs, its design incorporates many sub-systems from the Armata, including elements of the hull, powerpack, and suspension.
