Huntington Ingalls close to completing Alion acquisition

US shipbuilder Huntington Ingalls Industries (Hit) expects to complete its previously announced acquisition of US-based Alion Science & Technology "in the coming weeks", according to HII Chief Financial Officer Thomas Stiehle. Alion is owned by US private equity firm Veritas Capital. "The team is preparing for closing of the transaction and we are very excited about the addition of Alion to the HII family," added Mike Petters, HII's president and CEO.
