CAE clears key regulatory hurdle to buying L3Harris' Military Training business

Canadian simulation and training company CAE has received required regulatory approvals for its previously announced acquisition of L3Harris Technologies' Military Training business, paving the way for the USD1.05 billion deal to close on 2 July, CAE said on 28 June. The approvals came from the US Department of Justice, which enforces anti-trust laws; the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), which reviews whether foreign investment transactions would harm US national security; and the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), which oversees cleared companies.
