Russian Airborne Troops get more armoured vehicles

Russia's Airborne Troops (VDV) have received 160 armoured vehicles since the beginning of the year, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) announced in a press release on 29 May. "This year, the units, formations, and other parts of the Airborne Troops have received more than 160 armoured platforms, including the newest BMD-4M airborne infantry fighting vehicles [IFVs], upgraded BMD-2K-AU airborne IFVs, BTR-MDM Rakushka and BTR-D armoured personnel carriers [APCs], BTR-82AM [wheeled] APCs, and MTO-UB2 mobile workshops," said the MoD.
