Critical time ahead for European helicopters

Military helicopter sales in Europe are set to soar to about $1 billion as six coun-tries decide their helicopter requirements for 71 airframes in the first half of 2001. The decisions could well decide the future of Europe's NH 90, EH 101 and helicopter engine programmes, according to industry officials.
