BrahMos outlines $2bn export target for supersonic cruise missile

BrahMos Aerospace, the Indian and Russian joint venture, has set an export target for its supersonic cruise missile of at least USD2 billion for the next 10 years, the company's chief executive officer and managing director told Jane's at the Asian Defence and Security 2007 show in Bangkok on 8 November.rnDr Sivathanu Pillai also said that the governments of both India and Russia are on the verge of finalising a shortlist of between five to seven countries that will be targeted for exports. Jane's understands that the shortlist is likely to contain: Brazil, Chile, Kuwait, Malaysia, South Africa, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates.
