Hungarian Air Force takes delivery of final Gripens

The Hungarian Air Force took delivery of its last three Saab JAS 39C Gripen multirole combat aircraft at a ceremony at Kecskemet air base, approximately 80 km from the capital, Budapest, on 13 December. The aircraft were flown from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration's facility outside Linkoping to Hungary by Swedish Air Force pilots. Hungary took delivery of the its first Gripen in 2006 and now has 12 single-seat 'C model aircraft and two two-seat 'D' aircraft.
