UK MoD selects QinetiQ PACSCAT for FLC trials

The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) has accepted QinetiQ's prototype PACSCAT (Partial Air Cushion Supported by Catamaran) demonstrator as a trials vessel for its Fast Land Craft (FLC) programme.rnIn a press release QinetiQ said that the PACSCAT Innovative Solution Demonstrator Craft (ISDC) was selected on 10 August and it will undergo a set of MoD practical evaluation trials - overseen by QinetiQ - through to the end of 2010 at the Royal Marines' 11 Amphibious Trials and Training Squadron facility at Instow, Devon.
