The UN/African Union Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) has warned of a build-up of Sudanese army and rebel troops in North Darfur.rnTroops are massing there in the vacuum left by stalled peace talks whose resumption is unclear due to a dispute over a possible venue change.rnPeace moves took another blow with the 19 May detention by Chad -Sudan's neighbour and perennial rival -ofasenior leader of the main Darfur rebel group, the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM). The decision to bar Khalil Ibrahim from transiting Chad en route to Darfur from Libya was seen as evidence that N'Djamena intends to hold up its end of a rapprochement effort with Sudan.
