French investment group Lagardere is to sell its 7.5% stake in European aerospace and defence company EADS by the end of 2013, according to a statement by chief executive Arnaud Lagardere on 13 November. Lagardere is also looking to divest itself of a 20% stake in pay-TV channel Canal+ as part of a sale of non-media assets. Cash generated from the two sales would be made to cut debt, reward shareholders, and make minor acquisitions.
