Bell sells 407GT attack helicopter to private firm

Bell Helicopter has sold its first 407GT light attack and armed reconnaissance platform to the private company BBM Inc for missions in the Middle East and Africa region, it was announced on 27 May. Bell did not disclose how many 407GTs it was selling, but said BBM procured 16 unarmed 407GX helicopters, on which the 407GT is based, earlier this year. According to Bell, the helicopters will be used in undisclosed countries to "perform a variety of missions including law enforcement and homeland security".
