Jordan, Kuwait to boost radar networks

Jordan will receive two long-range radars and upgrades for three of its existing ones, while Kuwait is also looking for a long-range radar and six shorter-range ones, it was revealed on 13 October. The Jordanian acquisition was revealed by the US Department of Defense (DoD) when it announced that Lockheed Martin had been awarded a USD41.7 million contract that also covers the integration of the new and upgraded radars into Jordan's command-and-control system. This work is expected to be completed by 30 April 2018.
