The proposed Flipped Left Diamond Interchange (FLDI) design is a new, simple concept that has the potential to enhance intersection capacity while reducing such stops and delays. As this is a new concept, engineering staff and designers should realize that attention to details is critical for safe operation and maneuverability through the intersection.
