The role of hand held Doppler in acute scrotal pain

Our study reveals that the HHD examination is an easy and reliable tool for assessing the testicular blood flow in the emergency Dept.. Prompt surgical exploration is recommended if there is any uncertainty about the diagnosis. We recommend a multi-centre study should be carried out to establish the role of HHD examination in acute scrotal pain.
