Introduction and hypothesis This study evaluates the expression of estrogen receptor (ER) isoforms alpha (α) and beta (β) and progesterone receptor (PR) in vaginal and periurethral tissue in women with genital prolapse in relation to genital and lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS).
