No matter how long the economic downturn triggered by government measures to contain Covid-19 continues in the South of the USA - the next Air Cargo Forum will be staged under the aegis of a new head of Tiaca. On top of this 2022 will see the first event held at its future permanent home in Miami FL (USA). The global airfreight association already announced in June plans to restructure its executive management team, including delimiting the tasks between its secretary general and the chair of its board more clearly. In mid-July it advertised* its new post of director general, with applications welcome until 31 August. Celine Hourcade will lead the association as its transition director until Tiaca's new director general is named. The head will start work on 1 November. Hourcade, a former Iata manager, came to Miami a year ago as the project manager in charge of the body's transformation process. Tiaca chairman Steven Polmans isn't only leaving the association at the end of 2020, but also his employer Brussels airport, where he's been the head of its airfreight and logistics activities since 2011.
