New Norfolk Southern double-stack railway service

Norfolk Southern Railway launched a double-stack rail service in mid-October that will operate six days a week between the Norfolk Southern intermodal terminal in Norfolk and Greensboro NC, with an emphasis on textile, furniture, retail, chemical and agricultural goods. Greensboro is considered an ideal distribution centre in North Carolina for the import and export of these types of goods. The new connection links Greensboro with Charlotte NC, Atlanta GA and Memphis TN.
