Ningbo reports record throughput

The port of Ningbo improved better than other Chinese hubs in the first six months of the year. The 7 million teu handled represented an impressive 13.7% leap. The important Chinese port of Ningbo saw container traffic grow by no less than 13.7% in HI, to a new record of 7 million teu. Total tonnage also climbed substantially to a 208.3 million t high, which the hub has never attained before. This figure, in turn, was 7.5% larger than in the like-for-like period last year, a port spokesperson said.
