The second and completely revised edition of a booklet entitled ?Eignung der Binnenwasserstrassen fuer den Contain-ertransport - The suitability of inland waterways for container transportation? recently appeared as a bilingual printed brochure in German and English. The increase in the proportion of goods of a growing general transport volume that are carried in containers has been significant in recent decades, and this trend is set to continue and cover bulk freight too, which is also expected to be increasingly transported in containers.
