The Russian all-cargo operator Volga-Dnepr Airlines welcomed a modernised IL-76TD-90VD cargo unit to its fleet at the end of December, after the aircraft suc cessfully completed its first commercial flight from Moscow Domodedovo airport to Bahrain an back to Moscow. The fourth new generation IL-76TD-90VD freighter was built to order at the Tashkent Chkalov Aviation Factory, in accordance with a contract concluded between UAC-Transport Aircraft and Volga-Dnepr Leasing at the 2007 Interna tional Aerospace Show in Moscow. The aircraft was delivered from Tashkent to Ulyanovsk (Russia) in November, where it was then painted in Volga-Dnepr Air lines' livery.
