Heavylift transport from France to the Netherlands

The Belgian forwarder Rollit Cargo recently transported seven air coolers from Montoir, in the area surrounding the seaport of Nantes Saint-Nazaire in western France, to Langelo, a small village in the north of the Netherlands where a large natural gas storage tank operated by the firm Nederlands Aardolie Maatschappij is located. Every consignment was 13.5 m long, 6 m wide and weighed approximately 60 t. They were initially loaded on to coastal barges at the plant of the manufacturer in western France, and thence transported to the north of the Netherlands. There they were transhipped on to inland barges using telescope cranes, before special semitrailers took care of the final step to the building site.
