Sea freight bottlenecks invigorate airfreight

Early this year the Anglo-Spanish entity IAG Cargo also perceived the ongoing boom in trade between Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. The quantity of cargo exported from Europe to other parts of the world grew by a respectable 4% at the start of this year, in comparison with the first two months of the previous year. IAG's Europe-Asia volumes increased by 23%, however, with Asia-Europe growth coming in at 6%, which was still better than many other regions. Fashion items, spare parts, leather goods and fresh fish were the core goods.
