Comparative advantage, growth, and the gains from trade and globalization: A Festschrift in Honor of Alan V. Deardorff

For nearly four decades Alan Deardorff has expanded the frontier of international trade theory and policy. To recognize Deardorff s contributions, sixteen prominent economists participated in a conference in October 2009 and delivered papers in Deardorff s honor. The result is a 700-page long book edited by Robert Stern, Deardorffs colleague and collaborator for many years at the University of Michigan. The book, in addition to the papers presented by the panelists, includes reprints of Deardorff s most influential work.
