Smart Urban Growth for China

摘要

After nearly two decades' rapid urbanization, Chinese cities are now entering a new development stage. It is high time to examine the problems with current growth patterns and seek for smarter urban growth and sustainable development modes. Although 'smart growth' has already become a familiar term to Chinese planners and policy makers, a systematic appraisal of how the concept can help improve China's urban growth patterns is still lacking. This edited volume is, therefore, a timely contribution tackling unintelligent/inefficient urban growth in China.
