A simple approach to hull-mounted pinger control

Lessons learnt during the first two years of the Irish National Seabed Survey have led to the development of a simple solution to hull-mounted pinger control. Throughout large regional EEZ (Exclusive Economic Zone) seabed surveys, such as the one currently ongoing in Ireland where many thousands of square kilometres of seabed are being surveyed in a series of annual survey seasons, the seabed types over which the sub-bottom profiler systems operate vary tremendously.
