Sound Ocean Systems, USA, reports the launch of the ECO sheave, an economical, high-quality over boarding sheave specifically designed for use with 1/8-inch (3.2-millimetre) electro-mechanical cable or wire rope. The ECO sheave is constructed of stainless steel and has an eight-inch (20.3-centimetre) Delrin sheave with permanently oiled bronze bearing, said the company. The firm added the sheave is an ideal accessory for its popular ECO winch product line and has a working load limit of 500-pounds (227 kilograms) - suitable for small to medium-sized oceanographic or environmental sampling instruments.
