New owner for Ocean Business

Ocean Business 2013, held on 9-11 April at the National Oceanography Centre (NOC) in Southampton, UK, proved the most successful ever in terms of attendance and the number of exhibiting companies; the event also saw the number of associated meetings grow to unprecedented levels. However, without doubt the biggest story of Ocean Business week was that the show's organiser, Intelligent Exhibitions, UK, had been acquired by Diversified Business Communications UK. The deal, for an undisclosed sum, also includes the LiDAR International and LiDAR Europe events, which will be transferred to Diversified's offices in Portland, Maine, USA. Ocean Business will continue to be organised by the Intelligent Exhibitions team, headed up by Versha Carter.
